Join our growing community of women scientists in Japan

How to get involved

Join our members-only Slack group.

Our private Slack group allows WISJ members around Japan to share resources, ask for help, and connect with one another. To ensure the quality of our online community, we only send an invite after you join an event or complete this form.

Attend our next meeting or event.

The WISJ leadership team and active members typically meet online every two weeks. During meetings, we plan upcoming WISJ events and recurring programs. Our general meetings are open to new and potential WISJ members. We also host public events and casual meetups often. You can register for our next meeting or event on Meetup.

Serve as a student representative.

Student representatives play a key role in empowering the next generation of women scientists in Japan. Undergraduate students and graduate students who can commit to at least one year of volunteering are encouraged to apply. Applications for the 2024-2025 cohort will open in April 2024.

Collaborate with us.

WISJ partners with a range of local and international organizations who share our vision of gender equality. If your group or institution would like to work with us to plan an event, please get in touch by completing this form.
