Our first sponsorship

We are thrilled to announce our first official sponsorship. TokyoDev, founded by Paul McMahon, made a generous donation to Women in Science Japan in 2022. We are deeply grateful for his support!

TokyoDev conducted a survey of international developers in Japan during October 2022. Perhaps unsurprisingly, the survey found that women reported being paid less than men across experience levels- and also reported being less satisfied with their job. This sparked Paul to want to do something to address gender inequality in tech.

About TokyoDev

TokyoDev helps international software developers start and grow their career in Japan. We do this through a job board with opportunities for English speakers, an annual survey of international developers living in Japan, and a community where developers can discuss life in Japan.
